Graphoprint is pleased to
announce an investment in a
management information system
supplied by the Technique Group.
The solutions from Technique
form part of a large multi-million pound investment
by Graphoprint including 3 new
highly automated GOSS web
presses, an Agfa Apogee X
prepress workflow and Muller
Martini post press and bindery
equipment. The investment in
Technique includes a complete
management information system
and 15 data collection devices
to monitor press and finishing
resources.
JDF connectivity in the
Technique solutions will enable
Graphoprint to achieve a fully
automated workflow with new and
existing equipment supplied by
Goss, Agfa, Muller Martini,
Heidelberg and MBO.
Mike Povah
(Graphoprint Works Director)
says
“Technique
have a proven track record in
the commercial web business and
have been able to demonstrate
that they have an excellent
solution for Graphoprint. We
were looking for a system strong
in both the commercial and
production areas which will also
enable us to capitalise on the
JDF capabilities we have
available. We felt that
Technique’s commitment to JDF
matched Graphoprint’s and made
them the clear choice.”
Paul
Cooper (Technique Managing
Director) says
“This is a wonderful opportunity
to realise the full potential of
our JDF connectivity across the
entire business of a major
commercial web printer.
Graphoprint’s investment and
commitment to be the industry
leader in the full
implementation of JDF driven
solutions in partnership with
Technique, further confirms our
position as the market leader in
the web offset industry.”
